Environ's retinol serum is an ideal addition to daily skincare, introduced after the skin has adapted to a medium or high concentration of vitamin A. It is clinically proven to improve appearance by reducing wrinkle depth and increasing skin firmness, elasticity, hydration, tone and texture while working with the skin's natural regenerative processes.

It is an ideal product for people who want to take conscious care of their skin's condition and effectively counteract signs of ageing. Dermatologically tested product, certified by the Swiss Vitamin Institute.

The new, improved formula intelligently combines retinol with other forms of retinoids, maximising the effects of retinoic acid on youthful cellular functions. In addition, powerful antioxidants help reduce the effects of oxidative stress, while specialist boosters support the skin's natural moisturising properties and strengthen its protective barrier. The new formula also contains a blend of emollients that support the skin's protective barrier and improve hydration, including soybean oil, squalane, hemi-squalane, caprylic/capric triglycerides and hydrogenated vegetable oil

Once your skin becomes accustomed to the effects of retinol, you can safely progress to the more intensive version – Retinol Serum Forte.

In addition, Retinol Serum Forte contains retinol-like ingredients, namely Revinage and NovoRetin which enhance the action of the Tri-Retinoid complex. Through the additional ingredients, we enhance the overall effect of vitamin A without adding more of it. We are not aware of any other innovative products that combine retinoids with Revinage and NovoRetin.

How to use:

Introduction: At the start of your course, introduce the Retinol Serum by adding one drop to your Environ vitamin A moisturiser, 2–3 times per week.
After initial acclimatisation: Gradually increase the amount of serum until one full pump can be used.
Gradually increase frequency of application until the serum can be used every evening.
Layering application: Once the skin is accustomed to using the serum with a cream, begin using the Retinol Serum alone in the evening as a single layer.
Transition: Move to Retinol Serum Forte after finishing one bottle of Retinol Serum without any adverse reactions.
If dryness and/or redness occurs, reduce frequency to every other day.

Notes:

This product does not contain sunscreen. Environ recommends daily use of sun protection, for example RAD SPF 15.
Retinol Serum can be introduced when the skin is accustomed to daily use of moderate and high concentrations of vitamin A.
Before using retinols, cleanse and tone the skin with your preferred Environ products.
For sensitive, thin, or very dry skin, do not use retinol concurrently with AHA or BHA acids.
The product may be used with Roll-CIT (cosmetic).
Use after prior application of Skin EssentiA or Youth EssentiA creams.
Dr Des Fernandes recommends: Advanced Environ users may ultimately use Retinol Serum Forte morning and evening (because retinol is converted to retinyl palmitate within 3 hours of application), provided an additional broad-spectrum UV sunscreen is used.

Warnings and precautions:

Use as directed. For external use only.
Do not swallow or ingest the contents of the bottle. Do not transfer to other containers.
Do not use if hypersensitive to any of the ingredients. A patch test on the wrist or behind the ear is recommended.
Not for use in children under 12 years of age.
Do not apply to acute inflammatory skin conditions requiring medical treatment or to damaged skin.
Avoid contact with eyes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. If an adverse reaction occurs, consult an ophthalmologist or general practitioner.

Storage: Keep out of reach of children and animals. Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Do not use if packaging is damaged. Use by the date on the packaging and within 10–12 weeks of opening.

Sunburn warning: This product does not contain sunscreen. Safe sun exposure and sun protection are recommended at all times.
